What is GOLD FILL?
14K Gold-filled is a jewellery industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight. It’s a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14k gold with extreme heat over a core of high quality jeweller’s brass resulting in a durable, quality real gold product.
It is often referred to as a gold type that is the next best thing to actual 14K Solid Gold.
Lyndsey personally likes to use 14K Gold for its beautiful pale gold tone; it suits & flatters all skin tones!
After-care: How do i take care of my jewellery?
After-care is so important! 14K Gold Fill jewellery, when cared for appropriately, will last forever. Because jewellery is worn close to the body and skin, it can pick up dirt and grime on a daily basis. Regular cleansing is advised to keep your Kind Jewel’s treasures looking their very best! Polishing cloths are great to maintain shine but if you wear your piece’s every day they do deserve a deeper cleanse every month or so.
Below is a DIY/At Home protocol to follow:
Using a small dollop of mild shampoo (sulfate-free) applied to a soft toothbrush, scrub your jewellery gently for a few minutes.
Rinse thoroughly under lukewarm water until all residue/suds are removed from all corners & crevices of your piece.
Leave to dry on a cotton towel ideally overnight, so that it is entirely dry before resuming wear.

Are you a vegan brand?
Kind Jewels is a cruelty-free brand. We LOVE all animals. We don’t refer to the entire brand as vegan because we are always interested in finding materials that had no animal harmed or hurt in the making of them. Not all animal products come from cruel origins. We choose to only work with natural materials that cause minimal environmental impact (ie. precious gemstones, glass etc). Anything used in the making of Kind Jewel’s pieces comes from responsible, cruelty-free, low- environmental impact origins.

Every piece is handcrafted by Lyndsey by hand in her home studio in Laois, Ireland.
